Somewhere/ Distantly Inside

Distantly inside

She traverses

Past entangling thoughts

Like vines

And depressing realisations

Like mines

Distantly inside

She unsheaths

Her long sword

Cutting through the vines

And, using her wit,

She defuses the mines

Distantly inside

She battles

Against dark demons

And goes on adventures

A victor uncelebrated;

Her story unknown.

My Demise

I sat on the edge

of the cliff with my

legs hanging over

feeling free as if

I could fly if I

happened to fall

off. I would soar through

the air like a bird

free from this weight they

call Reality.

I pushed myself

forward and flew to

the dark abyss below.

My demise.
